Job summary

Exeter College in Exeter is seeking a reliable individual to join the team responsible for kitchens, laundry and other commercial areas within the Hospitality, Hair and Beauty Faculty. You will maintain a clean, safe environment for students, staff and customers, performing duties from dishwashing to general cleaning.

A strong focus on hygiene and safety is essential, with training provided. This role is 10 hours per week, 34 weeks per year, with uniform provided and an interview process to

• Experience in a kitchen or housekeeping role is preferred but training is provided.
• Strong focus on hygiene and safety procedures.
• Willing to work 10 hours per week over 34 weeks a year and follow College policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in kitchens and commercial areas, upholding high hygiene standards.
• Wash dishes, utensils and cooking equipment to support the kitchen team.
• Assist with delivery and storage of supplies.
• Handle waste and recycling in line with health and safety rules.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and cleanliness protocols.
• Support general laundry duties for the faculty.
