Job Description:

We are looking for a Part-Time Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Astbury Meadow Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £9.58 to £11.46 per hour, dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 26 hours over 4 days. All positions include weekend work, so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide essential support to both front and back of house operations, ensuring a steady supply of clean crockery, cutlery, and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the dishwashing equipment and responsible for maintaining a clean and productive work area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
  • Disposing of waste using appropriate recycling bins.
  • Handling items carefully to avoid breakages.
  • Ensuring all crockery and dishes are properly cleaned before use.
  • Cleaning equipment and work areas to high food hygiene standards.
  • Closing down the kitchen each day and preparing for the next.
