About the role

THIS ROLE IS TO START END OF AUGUST 2025, READY FOR THE NEW SUMMER TERM

Job Title: Kitchen Porter

School Location: The Whitstable School, CT5

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Shifts & Working hours: 11.30am - 3pm (17.5 hours per week)

Working Weeks: 38 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

Pay Details: £12.21 per hour

What will I be doing?

  • Washing up pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery using an industrial dishwasher or by hand, depending on the items
  • Checking deliveries for accuracy and packing away new stock
  • Keeping the kitchen and restaurant areas clean and tidy at all times
  • Working as part of the catering team to provide friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to all customers
