Job summary

Shepherd Neame in Birchington is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team, keep equipment and surfaces clean, and help with basic food preparation during busy service. No experience? Training provided and a chance to grow within Britain’s oldest brewer.

Where You’ll Be Working

Overlooking one of the finest beaches on the North Kent Coast, the Minnis Bay Bar & Brasserie in Birchington is a relaxed, stylish location that offers truly outstanding views, great food, an extensive drinks list and friendly service. The pub sits close to both Quex Park and the Powell Cotton Museum and the history-rich area can be explored with Shepherd Neame’s Minnis Bay Bar & Brasserie Pub Walk, which starts and ends at the pub.

What You’ll Do

• Wash and maintain kitchen equipment, crockery, and utensils to the highest standards.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling responsibly.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
