JOB SUMMARY

The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces.

Your responsibilities include general cleaning duties in the kitchen, such as washing equipment, crockery, and cutlery, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. During quieter times, you may assist with other cleaning tasks and support chefs with basic food prep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the kitchen porter area is set up and organized for daily duties, following SOPs, food safety standards, allergen awareness, and cleaning procedures, in line with risk assessments.
  • Proactively address health and safety issues, such as spills, using appropriate signage and reporting concerns to management.
  • Take responsibility for health and safety within the kitchen team.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists to ensure readiness for each shift.
  • Follow instructions from the kitchen team and assist with basic food preparation as directed.
  • Liaise with senior chefs regarding stock levels of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Maintain pride in your work, ensuring everything meets high standards—ask yourself, 'Would I eat off this plate?'
  • Work effectively as part of a busy kitchen team, communicating well and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Contribute to maintaining kitchen hygiene and ensure health and safety procedures and COSHH regulations are followed.
  • Use supplied PPE when handling chemicals or during other duties as required.
  • Adhere to the company's core values in all tasks.
