Job summary

Sodexo in Epsom is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join the team, supporting our chefs and Food Service Assistants to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

You’ll maintain high standards of cleanliness, help manage deliveries and support stock rotation to ensure service readiness, while adhering to safety procedures. The role offers 20 hours per week at £13.45 per hour, with free parking, meals and a uniform provided.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

  • Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
  • Wash dishes, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
  • Clean fridges, work surfaces, equipment, floors, walls and doors.
  • Remove waste and maintain clean bin areas.
  • Receive, check and store deliveries.
  • Support stock rotation and stock takes.
  • Ensure stock is stored safely and correctly.
  • Support the chefs and Food Service Assistants during service.
  • Help with general kitchen duties and any additional tasks required.
  • Assist with moving tables or equipment when required.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Complete required paperwork and records.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
  • Prioritise tasks and respond to changing business needs.
  • Follow all food safety, COSHH, health & safety and company procedures.
  • Attend required training and support the wider team when needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach when supporting customers and colleagues.
