Job summary

Delaware North UK is hiring a casual Kitchen Porter to join our team at Stadium of Light in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. You will assist the back-of-house team with dishwashing and other culinary tasks while building relationships with colleagues to enhance guest service.

This role offers flexible, event-driven shifts including evenings and weekends, free meals on event days, and the chance to gain experience at major sporting events and concerts.

Qualifications

• No degree required
• Strong skills in verbal communications, organisation, time management, attention to detail, and teamwork
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Previous experience in a catering kitchen is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Wash all crockery, cutlery, and light equipment using industrial machines and hand wash larger items in designated sinks
• Assist the culinary team to ensure smooth and effective catering service within the restaurant
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in food preparation and service areas
• Assist with deliveries and ensure stock is replenished from stores and the kitchen as needed
• Follow health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines in line with Delaware North’s standards

As Kitchen Porter, you will be assisting the collaborative kitchen team assist with dishwashing and other culinary back-of-house tasks. What will you do?
