Job summary

Personnel Ltd is seeking motivated Kitchen Porters for a school in Wargrave, Berkshire. The roles run Monday to Friday, 10:00–14:00, with the option to move to a permanent role. You will work as part of a busy kitchen team, adhering to hygiene standards and safety procedures while supporting back-of-house tasks.

Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Driving licence and Enhanced DBS are preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Motivated kitchen porters welcome to apply.
• Experience as a KP preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures preferred.
• Able to work in busy/unfamiliar environments.
• Reliable, punctual and professionally presented.
• Driving licence preferred but not required.
• Enhanced DBS with child barring preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all duties at the start of your shift.
• Follow back-of-house duties such as washing up, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Know COSHH and HACCP requirements.
• Be prepared for short-notice shifts.
• Meet uniform standards (safety shoes, clean ironed uniform).

Seeking motivated Kitchen Porters looking for their next challenge!

Class 1 are looking for three Kitchen Porters to join our Client's team for a beautiful school in Wargrave catering for 1800 children plus faculty staff.

The booking would run Monday to Friday 1000-1400 with the option to take a permanent role if so desired.

We welcome motivated porters who are:

• Able to work within a team and independently
• Able to work confidently in busy or unfamiliar environments
• Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
• Strong communicators who work well under pressure
• Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene procedures
• Flexible with shifts (daytime, evenings, weekends)
• Experience as a KP is preferred
• Driving licence is preferred but not required
• Enhanced DBS with child barring is preferred but not required

Your role includes but not be limited to:

• Adhere to all responsibilities instructed at the start of your shift
• Understand and follow all back of house duties such as using machines, washing up by hand, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying refuse bins, cleaning the kitchen area
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment
• Know your chemicals, COSSH, HACCP
• Step into short-notice temporary shifts with confidence
• Meet uniform standards such as safety shoes, cleaned and ironed uniform
