Job summary

Holiday Inn London - Shepperton is hiring a Kitchen Porter to help the kitchen run smoothly and support our Chefs. You’ll be an essential part of delivering memorable experiences, ensuring hygiene, organisation and timely service in a busy kitchen.

Ideal candidates will have basic food hygiene and thrive in a fast-paced setting, showing self-motivation, reliability, and a willingness to learn and develop within the brand family.

Qualifications

• Must have basic food hygiene knowledge.
• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic food items from the menu.
• Prep kitchen spaces including waste management, washing and organisation.
• Support chefs to meet Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
• Set up and stock food items and other supplies.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitised.
• Facilitate guest requests and special dietary needs.
• Complete all training on schedule and seek skill development.
• Arrive on time, in uniform, with a positive, can-do attitude.

What you’ll be doing as a Kitchen Porter

• Preparing basic food items from our menu
• Prepping kitchen spaces, including waste management, washing and organisation
• Supporting your Chefs in ensuring that all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulation are met
• Set up and stock food items and other supplies
• Keeping the kitchen clean and sanitised
• Facilitating special requests from guests
• Completing all training to timescales and looking for ways to develop your skills and experience
• Arriving on time, in the correct uniform with a positive, can-do attitude!
