Job description

As a Kitchen Porter at Ward JRD, Ward Barracks, Bulford, Wilshire, SP4 9NA

You'll be one of the key catering staff; without you, we can't run our kitchens efficiently.

What you'll do:

  • Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations
  • Work closely with the chefs and larger catering team to ensure the running of kitchen and dining facilities is efficient and smooth
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and report any faults to your line manager
  • Assist with deliveries, replenishing stock, and its rotation
  • Waste disposal in a safe, thorough, timely manner

What you bring:

  • Basic food-handling knowledge
  • A good sense of personal and environmental safety
  • Willingness to learn new skills and gain experience whilst in the role
  • No previous work experience required

Package Description:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Shift pattern/ hours - Any 5 days out of 7 - set out as follows:
  • Early shift - 0615-1415
  • Late shift - 1130-1930
  • £11.44 per hour
  • Good public transport, free parking, access to reward hub and discounts.
