Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at our Manchester-area hotel. You’ll help keep the kitchen running, clean and prep food, manage waste, and support delivery receiving. A strong team player with attention to detail is essential.

The role involves 3 shifts of 4 hours per week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, with minimum wage compensation. We offer benefits and a friendly, inclusive workplace as part of a growing hospitality group.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen running smoothly by cleaning and organising equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
• Wash and sanitise pots, pans, dishes and other kitchen tools; keep everything ready for the next dish.
• Assist with basic food prep tasks like peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients.
• Manage waste by disposing of rubbish, recycling, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Keep storage areas stocked, organised and clean for easy access.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries to keep the kitchen stocked.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards rigorously; shifts include mornings, evenings and weekends (3 x 4hr).

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KITCHEN ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

• Manage waste by disposing of rubbish, recycling, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Keep storage areas stocked, organised, and clean, ensuring supplies are easy to find and ready to use.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, helping to keep the kitchen stocked and organised.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards rigorously, contributing to a safe and spotless kitchen. You will be working 3 x 4hr shifts per week, will include mornings, evenings and weekends.
