Job description

Full Time: 40 hours per week

Salary: £30,160 per annum

Hours: Term time; typically a mixture of 7.15am‑5:30pm and 10.30am‑7pm

Shift Pattern: Mostly Monday‑Friday with approximately 10 weekends per year. Outside of term, shifts are mostly 7am‑3:30pm Monday‑Friday

Location: Prestigious Independent School near Petworth, West Sussex – GU28 0NB, South Down’s Lavington Park, a 400‑acre Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to work in a highly prestigious education setting. The role requires reliable commute without use of public transport and a full driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Organise supplier deliveries and store rooms
• Coordinate food and hospitality deliveries across the estate to various outlets through a team of five Kitchen Porters
• Maintain strong understanding of health and safety
• Be adaptable, customer‑focused, and excellently organised
• Show great attention to detail and a flexible approach to work
• Work as a team member and contribute to collective success

Qualifications

• Full driver’s licence
• Ability to reliably commute to GU28 0NB by private vehicle (public transport not permitted)
• Experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment preferred
