Job summary

Loungers’ Tambo Lounge in Newark-on-Trent is recruiting a Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join a busy, friendly kitchen team. You’ll help keep the kitchen clean, safe and well organised, and support chefs with prep so service runs smoothly.

We offer up to £12.71 per hour plus tips, paid breaks, a free meal on every shift and 50% food & drink discount from day one. Flexible hours suit part-time or full-time seekers, with evening and weekend work likely.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
• Punctual, reliable and ready to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Pride in doing things properly and not cutting corners.
• Good communication and team-minded approach.
• Experience in a kitchen or hospitality helpful but not essential.

We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join our busy, friendly, supportive kitchen team. In this role, you’ll help keep the kitchen clean, safe, organised, and ready for service while also supporting our chefs with food prep when needed. It’s a simple but vital role. Without you, the kitchen doesn’t run properly. You’ll play a huge part in making sure the team can deliver freshly cooked food on spec, on time, every time.
