Job summary

The Genuine Dining Co. is seeking an experienced Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team in daily operations at our new facility near Talacre.

You will help keep the kitchen clean, assist with basic food prep, and ensure storage and waste management meet safety standards. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30, with meals provided on shift.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sinks, countertops, and floors.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in storage areas and ensure food safety standards are followed.
• Assist with waste management and recycling.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables and cutting ingredients.
• Organise and store kitchen supplies, ensuring they are readily available for use.
• Help with unloading deliveries and storing items appropriately.

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to assist the Kitchen Team in the day to day running of the Kitchen. As a Kitchen Porter you will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen staff by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen areas, as well as assisting with basic food preparation.

The role will be based at Point of Ayr near Talacre in a brand new facility.

Job Description

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:30
