Working in this stunning 40-bedroom, boutique lifestyle hotel in the heart of Henley-on-Thames, you will be joining a great kitchen team at The Relais Henley.

Role Responsibility

The main duties of a kitchen porter are to ensure the kitchen is spick and span and ready for service. You will be responsible for:

• Working in the back of house area of the kitchen, ensuring the area is kept clean & tidy at all times.
• Supporting the chefs as and when required.
• Adhering to all health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations governing your work, and ensuring the correct chemicals/detergents are used at all times.
• Limiting breakages and notifying the Chef of any breakages.
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring sufficient crockery and equipment for the chefs to ensure smooth food service.
• Assisting with storing and putting away deliveries.
• Managing the waste process, ready for collection.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Understanding the importance of a clean kitchen and its impact on overall service.
• Having a passion for the hospitality industry and exceeding guest expectations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
