Job summary

Dean's York Garden Centre is seeking a part-time Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You’ll help keep the area clean, wash pots and pans, and support kitchen staff during peak times in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are daytime and part-time; training will be provided. The role suits someone who is hardworking, a good team player, and flexible to take on additional shifts and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the kitchen environment is kept up to the highest cleaning standards.

• Unloading equipment and food from deliveries.
• Ensuring the kitchen area is organised and tidy.
• Making sure work surfaces and floors are always clean and free from food and debris.
• To assist the kitchen staff with various duties.

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our growing team at Dean's York Garden Centre. As a Kitchen Porter, your role is to keep the environment clean and safe by supporting the team with various duties such as mopping, washing up, cleaning surfaces and kitchen equipment. As you can imagine, it gets busy, so you’ll need to be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

This is a part time position, hours to be determined.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities are:

• To ensure the kitchen environment is kept up to the highest cleaning standards.
• Collecting and washing up pots and pans.
