Job summary

Holroyd Howe in Upper Dicker, Hailsham is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support a busy kitchen operation. You will wash dishes, keep surfaces clean and sanitary, and assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies, helping the team run a smooth service.

No formal education is required. You should be physically fit, attentive to detail, and able to follow instructions while communicating effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing - Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers
• Kitchen Cleanliness - Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
• Inventory Management - Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients
• Compliance with Health and safety - maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order

Title: Kitchen Porter

Location: Upper Dicker, Hailsham

Salary: £13 per hour

40 hours per week -5 days out of 7
