Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is hiring a Kitchen Porter to keep our school-site catering operation running smoothly. Join a supportive team in a fast-paced environment where cleanliness and food safety matter.

This role offers term-time pattern (35 weeks per year) with training provided. You’ll contribute to daily service, prepare basic prep, and help maintain high standards across the kitchen and dining areas.

• Experience in a Kitchen Porter or catering role preferred.
• Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and prep areas.
• Wash pots, pans, crockery, cutlery to high standards.
• Support with basic food preparation.
• Assist with deliveries receipt/ unload as needed.
• Use kitchen equipment safely.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Complete training and development programmes.
• Provide general support to the catering team.

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will play an important role in ensuring our kitchen and catering operation runs efficiently every day.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Kitchen Porter, Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, food preparation areas and associated workspaces.
• Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils to the highest standards.
• Supporting the team with basic food preparation activities.
• Assisting with the receipt, loading and unloading of deliveries when required.
• Using kitchen equipment and machinery safely and correctly.
• Following all health, safety and food hygiene procedures.
• Completing required training and development programmes.
