Heritage Portfolio is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team at the Central Production Kitchen in Leith, Edinburgh. We operate within some of Scotland’s leading cultural destinations, including:

  • Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
  • The Scottish National Portrait Gallery
  • V&A Dundee
  • Mansfield Traquair
  • The Signet Library
  • Perth and Musselburgh Racecourses

Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, following the cleaning schedule, and adhering to food hygiene and safety regulations. Specific duties include:

  1. Maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food hygiene regulations, using correct cleaning chemicals and methods.
  2. Completing and signing off on daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
  3. Ensuring availability and proper maintenance of cleaning chemicals and equipment, used safely and cost-effectively.
  4. Recycling waste into appropriate bins.
  5. Adhering to all food safety, health, and safety policies and legislation.
  6. Assisting with all cleaning duties as required.
  7. Striving for higher standards of cleanliness continuously.
  8. Assisting in other areas as directed by the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, Kitchen Manager, or CPU Operations Manager.

Ideal candidates will be friendly yet professional, team players with good attention to detail, punctuality, and proactivity. Experience in a back-of-house kitchen setting is preferred.
