Job summary

ISS UK is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter in Edinburgh to support our catering operation. You will wash pots and utensils, keep areas clean, handle deliveries, and maintain high hygiene standards as part of a friendly and focused team.

The role is permanent, with a 32-hour working week and a pay rate of £13.45 per hour. A positive attitude and reliability are key to success in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils; ensure readiness for use.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Assist with receiving and handling deliveries as required.
• Support waste disposal and ensure proper waste handling.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety with the team.
• Work as part of a motivated team to uphold site standards.

As a Kitchen Porter with ISS UK, you will be at the heart of the action and play a key role in our catering operation. Your responsibilities will include washing up, putting away deliveries and cleaning, while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety.

The Role

• Wash and clean pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils, ensuring they are ready for use.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep kitchen, food preparation and service areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Assist with receiving and handling deliveries as required.
• Support waste disposal and ensure waste is handled appropriately.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Work as part of a motivated and passionate team.
• Maintain a high standard of general hygiene and cleanliness throughout the site.
