Job description

The Colonnades at The Signet Library is currently looking to add a casual Kitchen Porter to our team. We seek passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals to join our small yet dedicated team, providing friendly yet professional service in a beautiful Georgian setting.

Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town on the Royal Mile, The Colonnades offers 'Edinburgh’s finest afternoon tea' and delicious cocktails and fizz.

Staff uniform is provided, and gratuities are distributed weekly. A meal is also provided on-site.

Shift patterns typically include daytime shifts and one weekly night shift, totaling approximately 35 hours per week, including weekend work.

Salary: £[amount] per hour plus gratuities. This is a casual role.

Responsibilities include:

1. Washing pots and pans, keeping floors clean, sanitizing food preparation areas, and assisting with food prep when needed.
2. Helping with unloading and storing deliveries, emptying bins, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment.
3. Supporting the kitchen team in daily operations.
