Job summary

Interaction Recruitment in Cambridge is seeking Kitchen Porters for evening ad hoc agency shifts in Central Cambridge (CB2). You will help keep a busy professional kitchen running smoothly during 6:00pm–10:30pm shifts, with pay £12.71–£13.00 per hour and weekly pay.

Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual and comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen. Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but a strong work ethic and teamwork are key for maintaining high cleanliness and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, plates and kitchen equipment.
• Managing pot wash and plate wash areas.

• Cleaning work surfaces, floors and equipment.
• Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas.
• Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Assisting with general kitchen duties where required.

Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting Kitchen Porters to support a busy hospitality client in Central Cambridge, CB2.

We currently have evening shifts available, typically working 6:00pm-10:30pm, and we are looking to build a reliable pool of candidates who are interested in flexible, part-time agency work.

This is an ad hoc agency position, meaning shifts will be offered depending on client requirements and your availability. It could be ideal if you're looking for evening work alongside another job, studies or other commitments.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will help keep a busy professional kitchen running smoothly.

Your duties may include:

• Washing pots, pans, plates, cutlery and kitchen equipment
• Managing pot wash and plate wash areas
• Keeping kitchen and staff areas clean and tidy
• Cleaning work surfaces, floors and equipment
• Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas
• Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Assisting with general kitchen duties where required
