Job summary

Caterlink is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our school catering teams with nutritionally balanced, tasty meals. You will assist with food prep, keep kitchens and dining areas clean, and wash up efficiently. The role is term-time only, 22.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 10:00–15:00, with weekends off.

Working in school kitchens, you will contribute to a positive, safe environment and enjoy a clear work/life balance while supporting children’s nutrition and wellbeing.

Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for a friendly, hard-working and approachable team member to perform a variety of tasks.

The role:

• £13.45 per hour
• 22.5 hours per week working Monday – Friday
• 10:00 - 15:00
• Term-time only – working 36weeks per year, paid for 40 per year (which includes holiday pay)

Tasks will include assisting with the preparation of food and snacks, ensuring the kitchen and restaurant areas are clean and tidy and to clean and wash up all kitchen and service items in an efficient manner.
