Job summary

Crerar Hotels is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the busy kitchen team and maintain a clean, organised workspace across our hotels in Scotland and the Lake District. You will sweep and mop floors, clean equipment by hand or in the dishwasher, and assist with deliveries and deep cleans.

Flexibility with working hours, including weekends, is required to deliver exceptional service. We offer an hourly rate of £12.71 and opportunities for training sessions, career development, and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen or food preparation environment preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take on training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors to maintain hygiene standards.
• Clean kitchen equipment by hand and in dishwasher.
• Organise deliveries and store stock appropriately.
• Assist with deep cleans and general kitchen tidying.
• Support kitchen team during busy periods and weekends.

As a Kitchen Porter at Crerar Hotels, you will play a crucial role in supporting our busy kitchen team and maintaining a clean, organised workspace. Your responsibilities will include sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning kitchen equipment both by hand and using the dishwasher, organising deliveries, and assisting with deep cleans. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll need stamina, focus, and the ability to work independently while staying flexible with working hours, including weekends. You may also take part in training sessions to enhance your skills and support the team in delivering exceptional service.
