Job Title: Kitchen Mechanic
Location: PantherDining Hall, Georgia State University, Atlanta Campus

Georgia State University (GSU) is seeking a Kitchen Mechanic for its PantherDining Hall, certified by the Green Restaurant Association. Responsibilities include:
  1. Performing preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  2. Managing materials, parts, and equipment inventory.
  3. Maintaining tools and work areas.
  4. Executing repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
  5. Developing repair plans adhering to regulations.
  6. Coordinating with internal and external teams.
  7. Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports.
  8. Participating in training and department improvements.
  9. Performing administrative tasks related to maintenance.
  10. Promoting excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED and four years of experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Refrigerant certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Valid GA driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • HVACR and EPA Certifications.
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, and working in various temperatures.
  • Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
