Job description

A newly opening Japanese Ramen shop in London is seeking a Kitchen Manager who will be responsible for managing the daily Kitchen operations of the ramen shop in London.
This ramen shop is launching its very first shop in the UK and is looking for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in establishing the brand.

The responsibilities will include food purchasing, controlling food cost and usage, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and equipment, maintaining all equipment in excellent working condition. Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline kitchen staff, scheduling kitchen staff shifts and ensuring adequate staffing of chefs in the kitchen, budgeting, and reporting to the General Manager and front office manager on any activities in the kitchen, and checking compliance.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about expanding the shops in the UK in the future and those who enjoy driving positive change within organizations.

WORKING HOURS: 48 hours a week, (Shop opening hour is 11am to 11 pm – 7 Days a Week)
SALARY: Negotiable (depending on experience)

LOCATION: West London

– Kitchen Manager Main Responsibilities:
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
• Establish work schedules and procedures
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
• Ensure that food and service meet standards on every occasion.
• May assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets.
• May plan menus and determine related food and labour costs.

– Kitchen Manager Ideal Candidate:
• Business level of Japanese and English
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline or several years of experience in food preparation or service are beneficial
• Completion of secondary school is usually required
• Health & Safety & Food Safety Certification
