Job summary

Stonegate Group, the UK's largest pub operator, is seeking a Kitchen Manager for Hogshead in Wolverhampton. You will lead the kitchen team, uphold high food standards and ensure COSHH, Food Safety and H&S compliance while driving efficiency and growth.

In this leadership role you will hire, onboard, coach and develop staff, manage schedules, monitor stock and collaborate with front-of-house to boost sales and guest satisfaction. A proactive, inclusive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in kitchen operations in pubs or restaurants
• Strong food knowledge and skill
• Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, health & safety and legal knowledge
• Ability to coach and mentor kitchen teams

Responsibilities

• Hire and onboard new team members in an inclusive manner
• Lead, coach and develop the kitchen team and provide ongoing training
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety
• Manage the kitchen schedule to ensure efficient staffing and meet labour targets
• Conduct regular stock checks to control costs and meet performance goals

The Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Team Leader who is ready to take the next step in their career. In this leadership role, you'll play a key part in shaping our kitchen operations, maintaining high standards, supporting and developing the kitchen team at Hogshead.

As Kitchen Manager you will

Some of the things you’ll be doing as a Kitchen Manager

• Hiring and onboarding of new team members in an inclusive and welcoming manner.
• Leading, guiding, and developing your kitchen team, ensuring they have access to ongoing training and growth opportunities.
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety, creating a safe and organised workspace for all.
• Managing the kitchen schedule to ensure efficient staffing while meeting labour targets.
• Conducting regular stock checks to ensure cost management and meet performance goals.
• Taking a proactive approach to increasing sales and driving growth by fostering strong relationships between kitchen and front-of-house teams.

We also love crafted gins, 2-4-1 cocktails, and a great range of soft drinks for those guests taking it easy. We have an extensive food menu that is all about tapas, pizza, burgers, and an excellent vegan range.
