Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to run a busy school catering operation in Hull. You will lead the team, ensure high service standards, manage menus and stock, and liaise with clients.

This term-time only role offers sociable Monday to Friday hours, 7am-3pm, 36.25 hours per week, and a fixed term contract until November 2027, with 39 weeks plus paid holiday. Enhanced DBS required.

Qualifications

• Previous catering management or team leadership experience.
• Food industry experience and/or relevant qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of catering service delivery.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding requirements.
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification, ideally IOSH.
• Cashless catering system experience desirable.

Kitchen Manager - School Catering

Location: Hull
Contract: Fixed Term until November 2027
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm
Salary: 16.16 per hour (PAYE)
Term Time Only: 39 weeks per year + 5.6 weeks paid holiday
