Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a part-time kitchen role in the Carmarthen area. The successful candidate will assist in preparing and serving meals, maintain hygiene, and deliver friendly service to pupils and staff.

Role requires basic Welsh, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn. 20 hours per week, term-time only, with an annualised pay scheme and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Food hygiene certificate is advantageous but not essential.
• Welsh language level - basic conversational Welsh required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchen.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils and staff.
• Lead a team and communicate effectively with adults and children.
• Order and manage stock using basic IT tools.
