Job summary

Fortem are seeking a Labourer/Kitchen Fitting Assistant in the Social Housing planned works team. Based in the Southwest around Salisbury and Bournemouth, travel is essential.

You will support experienced Kitchen and Bathroom Fitters, gain exposure to carpentry and plumbing, and help with site waste management and loading materials. The role offers a company van and fuel card, with 8:00am–4:30pm hours, a focus on safe work practices, and opportunities to learn the trade while working with

Qualifications

• Keen interest in property renovations and able to work well within Social Housing environments.
• Ability for heavy lifting and driving a large van.
• Strong health and safety understanding and professional conduct with trades and tenants.
• Full UK driving licence (max 5 points, no bans) and DBS check ability.

Responsibilities

• Support Kitchen and Bathroom Fitters on-site.
• Load and transport removed kitchens and bathrooms using a company van.
• Drive large wheel-based vans to varied locations around the Southwest UK, with long travel times.
• Drive between social housing properties and waste disposal locations; complete waste transfer records via a smartphone app.
• Assist with loading stripped units and help with site logistics and waste management.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety and provide courteous service around tenants and colleagues.
