Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Fitter to install bespoke commercial kitchen equipment manufactured in our Braintree workshop. You will work on site across the UK, fitting fabricated metalwork and ensuring installations meet exacting standards.

This role requires practical experience, basic TIG welding and stainless-steel polishing skills, and a full UK driving licence. Expect predominantly London-based work with occasional UK travel; overnight stays are very rare.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience in kitchen fitting or metalwork fitting.
• Basic TIG welding skills are required.
• Stainless-steel polishing experience is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence – essential.

Responsibilities

• Install bespoke commercial kitchen equipment on customer sites.

Kitchen Fitter – Braintree, Essex – Full Time – £17 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Fitter to join a well-established commercial catering equipment manufacturer based in Braintree. This is a full-time opportunity paying £17 per hour, installing bespoke fabricated metalwork kitchens at customer sites across the UK.

This role would suit a practical, hands-on candidate with basic TIG welding and metal polishing experience, confident using hand and power tools.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Fitter, you will install and fit bespoke commercial kitchen equipment manufactured in the Braintree workshop. You will work with fabricated and welded metalwork, ensuring installations are completed accurately and to a high standard.

Around 90% of the work is based in London, with occasional travel elsewhere in the UK. Overnight stays are very rare.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing bespoke commercial kitchen equipment on customer sites
• Fitting and adjusting fabricated and welded metalwork

• Carrying out basic TIG welding where required
• Polishing stainless-steel components to achieve a quality finish

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in kitchen fitting, metalwork fitting or a similar hands-on role
• Basic TIG welding skills
• Stainless-steel polishing experience
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Full UK driving licence – essential
• Reliable, practical and willing to travel to customer sites
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
