Job summary

MPA Recruitment is seeking Kitchen Assistants for clients in the North Down area. Roles span nursing homes and housing with care facilities across multiple sites, with ad-hoc shifts and flexible hours. Pay is £12.80 per hour.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, serving residents, receiving deliveries, and maintaining cleanliness. Previous kitchen experience of at least 3 months is preferred. Good communication, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team are

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months’ experience in a professional kitchen.

Key Duties

• Prepare and assist with providing meals as required.
• Assist in the preparation of food.
• Prepare tables and trays ready for use.
• Serve meals to residents.
• Assist in receiving food and supplies from delivery personnel.
• Clear tables as necessary.
• Carry out regular kitchen and dining room cleaning, including the use of industrial cleaning equipment.
• Adhere to allFood Handling and Environmental Health regulations.
• Maintain the kitchen area to a high standard in line withHealth & Safety and Environmental Health regulations.
• When required, the post holder may need toact up to cover periods of leave.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum3 months’ previous experienceworking in a professional kitchen setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
