The Postern Gate in York is looking for Kitchen staff to join our team. No prior experience is required; a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a calm head under pressure are valued traits.

We offer training and progression as part of a UK Top Employer with a strong training programme. Roles involve food preparation and cooking, working across kitchen stations, and maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualificações

• No experience required; good attitude and willingness to learn.
• Calm head under pressure and ability to work in a team.
• Flexible with shift patterns including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook and present food to the correct specification.
• Operate kitchen work stations (grills, fryers, microwaves).
• Work as a team to meet time and quality targets.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen, health and safety standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean and well stocked.
• Complete induction and ongoing training; contribute to improvements.
