Job summary

Runwood Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our care home team with daily kitchen operations, ensuring meals are prepared safely and to a high standard. You will assist Chefs, maintain cleanliness, and help with general tasks while following COSHH/HACCP guidelines and company policies.

You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, value teamwork and communication, and have opportunities for training and development through our internal and external programs to grow within the company.

As members of the support services team, our Kitchen Assistants help the Chefs with the daily operations of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and performing general kitchen tasks to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly in the care home. Our Kitchen Assistants adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as follow all necessary COSHH and HACPP guidelines. Additionally, you will be involved in catering for special events at the home, such as the annual summer fayres.

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant who is passionate about food and dedicated to providing high-quality service at every meal. Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must, as well as experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
