Job Description:

We currently have an opportunity for an energetic individual to join our Catering Team in our residential care home for older people as a Kitchen Assistant.

Bridgemead is a 32-bed residential care home by the river in central Bath. The health, well-being and happiness of our residents is of primary importance to us. The home cares for those who live with dementia and respite care in Bath. View our lovely home here.

Responsibilities:
  • Wash up the catering equipment and utensils;
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of the kitchen and catering equipment;
  • Ensure all water and other spillages are cleaned up immediately after they occur;
  • Maintain records as required by your manager;
  • Serve the evening tea time meal (usually sandwiches or something very simple);
  • Clear tables

We offer a full induction to the work and also provide other training as required by the post but it will be working alone

About you:
  • You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have empathy with them;
  • You need to be able to operate laundry equipment in a safe and reliable manner;
  • You need to be able to work as part of a team in order to provide an excellent service to our residents; and
  • You must be a well-organised, practical and adaptable person.
