Job summary

The White Hart, part of Wadworth, in Castle Combe, is looking for Kitchen Assistants to join a friendly team. You will support chefs with food preparation, help keep the kitchen clean, and ensure guests enjoy a great dining experience.

No prior kitchen experience is required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued, with training provided. We offer flexible hours, staff discounts, tips, and other benefits in a heritage setting.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not essential.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn will be supported with training.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Wash up and keep kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas clean and organised.
• Assist with deliveries and stock rotation to ensure ingredients are stored correctly.
• Support busy service periods with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Work closely with chefs and colleagues to deliver great food and customer experiences.
• Take pride in your work and contribute to smooth kitchen operation.

We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistants to join our team. Working alongside our chefs, you'll play an important role in ensuring our kitchens run smoothly, our food is prepared to a high standard and our guests enjoy a great dining experience every time they visit.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the kitchen team with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Helping to maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Washing up and ensuring kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas are clean and organised.
• Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation to ensure ingredients are stored correctly.
• Supporting busy service periods with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Working closely with chefs and colleagues to help deliver great food and excellent customer experiences.
