Job summary

Holmes Care Group in Buckhaven, Scotland, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations in our care environments. You'll help with food prep, cleaning, dishwashing and stocking trolleys, ensuring meals are prepared safely and served on time.

We offer excellent pay rates with bank holiday enhancements, pension, and ongoing training. Training and support will be provided; prior kitchen experience is welcome but not essential.

• Experience in a kitchen environment is helpful
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Willing to learn and follow training

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen area (floors, cookers, fridges etc.)
• Assisting with food and drink preparation at meal times
• Washing and drying up, and loading/unloading the dishwasher
• Preparing and replenishing the food/tea trollies
• Assisting with stock taking and the storage of goods, including checking deliveries
• Safely disposing of refuse and waste

What does the day of a Kitchen Assistant look like?

Our Kitchen Assistants are invaluable to our services and you will play a key role in the smooth running of the kitchen:

• Cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen area (floors, cookers, fridges etc.)
