Job description

Location:Tan Yr Allt Lodge, 14 Alltwen Hill, Pontardawe, SA8 3AB

Hours: 38 per week, including weekends on a rota basis

Pay rate:£12.21 per hour

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Head Chef with the daily aspects of the catering operation. You will assist with everything from preparing simple meals, to ensuring the dining areas are clean and tidy at all times. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or evidence of Food Hygiene awareness is essential for this role, along with knowledge of maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and hygienic environment. An NVQ level 2 is desirable for this role.

Requirements

At least six months experience working in a kitchen setting.Candidates must be reliable and professional and be able to demonstrate patience, kindness, compassion and have a true desire to learn and develop.The ability to work independently but also as part of a team is essential along with a positive, friendly and flexible approach to working.
