Job summary

Maki & Ramen is launching a new site and seeks a Kitchen Assistant to help lead setup and operations. You will support chefs with prep, maintain cleanliness, manage stock, and assist during busy service periods. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Grays, with a competitive salary and tips.

Ideal candidates have some kitchen experience, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Shifts include day, night, and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and time management.
• Quick learner with attention to detail.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, not required.
• Food safety certification, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with food prep.

• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment.

Pay Rate: £12.71 - £13.00 (typical earnings up to £14-£15 with tips)

Hours: 45-50 per week (hours are negotiable)
