Susan Hamilton is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant for a part-time, term-time only role at a boys’ school in Hampstead, North West London. The position runs 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm, with holidays aligned to school terms.

You will assist with food preparation, serve lunches to pupils, and help keep the kitchen clean and tidy, supporting the Chef Manager and catering team while following food hygiene and safety standards.

Formación

• Experience in kitchen or catering is welcome but not essential.

• Reliability, punctuality and good attention to detail are valued.

Kitchen Assistant – Part Time, Term Time Only

Location: Belsize Park, North West London
Salary: £13.09 per hour (£13,940.85 per year)
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm
Contract: Part time, term time only – 42.60 paid weeks per year, inclusive of holiday entitlement

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join the catering team at a lovely boys’ school in Hampstead, North West London.

Working alongside the Chef Manager, you will help with the smooth day-to-day running of the school kitchen, supporting food preparation, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, and helping serve lunch to the pupils.

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting with basic food preparation.
• Helping serve lunch to the pupils.
• Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy.
• Washing up and carrying out general kitchen cleaning duties.
• Supporting the Chef Manager and wider catering team as required.
• Following food hygiene, health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate:

• Has a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Is reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Has good attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Has previous kitchen or catering experience, although this is not essential for the right person.
