ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll work in all areas of the kitchen including; as a kitchen porter, basic food preparation, helping to maintain the high standards of hospitality for all hotel guests to enjoy.

You'll be involved with the preparation of food for our hotel guests, managing stock and minimising wastage. This role offers ongoing training and opportunities to progress within the kitchen and hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working as part of the kitchen brigade to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards.
  • Assisting in basic food preparation, managing deliveries, cleaning schedules, and temperature checks.
  • Contributing to the efficient and profitable running of the department to meet business and personal objectives.
Essential Skills/Experience
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding and adherence to food safety and health & safety regulations.
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is welcome but not essential; training in Food Safety Level 2 will be provided within the first 3 months.

Pay: £12.40 Hourly

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: Part time, 22.5 hours per week, between 06:00 - 21:00, including weekends.

Job Level: Partnership Level 10
