About the role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll work in all areas of the kitchen including as a kitchen porter, basic food preparation, and helping to maintain high standards of hospitality for all hotel guests. You'll be involved in food preparation, managing stock, and minimizing wastage. This role offers ongoing training and opportunities for progression within the kitchen and hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, complying with food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist in basic food preparation, manage deliveries, and complete cleaning schedules and temperature checks for kitchen equipment.
  • Contribute to the efficient and profitable running of your department to meet business and personal objectives.
Essential skills/experience
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to interpret and follow food safety and health and safety policies.
Desirable skills/experience
  • Experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is welcomed but not essential. Training in Food Safety Level 2 will be provided within the first 3 months.

Part-time hours: 22.5 hours per week, working between 06:00 - 21:00, including weekends.
