Job summary

Kids Planet Barrow is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to help prepare healthy meals for children and support everyday kitchen tasks.

You’ll join a close-knit team committed to care, curiosity and a love for early years. The role offers training through KP Academy, wellbeing perks and an employee-friendly environment that values family involvement and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Catering experience, preferably in a childcare or similar environment.
• A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
• Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the chef in preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children.
• Cater for allergies and dietary needs, ensuring safety and suitability of all food.
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, following hygiene and safety standards.
