Job summary

Kids Planet Stockport is inviting applications for a Kitchen Assistant to join our caring team. You will support the chef in preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

Experience in catering is preferred; a basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable. We offer training through KP Academy, progression opportunities, and a supportive work environment that values wellbeing and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Catering experience, preferably in a similar environment.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
• Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the chef in preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children.
• Cater for allergies and special dietary needs, ensuring all food is safe and suitable.
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, following hygiene and safety standards.
