Job summary

GAUCHO Liverpool is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join its busy kitchen, bringing passion for food and hospitality and a readiness to learn.

You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, support plate and pot wash areas, and work as part of a friendly team under senior chefs. The role offers training, 50% food discount, and opportunities to progress within GAUCHO's kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of English to communicate in a kitchen environment.
• Enthusiasm for food and fresh produce.
• Friendly, approachable and collaborative team player.
• Efficient, productive and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient time and motion at all times.
• Basic chemical knowledge for cleaning and sanitising.
• Basic understandings of a plate and pot wash service area.
• Understanding of assigned task standards.
• To ensure the plate and pot wash areas are functioned to high standards as required at all times.
• To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and up keep of equipment.
• To ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and cleaning duties are carried out as instructed by senior chefs.
• To contribute to the building of the team and efficient team spirit and an active interest in employee’s welfare, safety and development.
