Haskins Garden Centres is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our busy production kitchen on a full-time, permanent basis. The role involves deli counter work and food preparation, including sandwiches and jacket potatoes, with duties across deliveries, stock, and kitchen portering.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided. You will work 38 hours per week, including alternate weekends, with pay up to £12.71 per hour and a generous benefits package.

Kitchen Assistant

We are recruiting a Kitchen Assistant on a Full-Time, permanent basis, working 38 hours per week including alternate weekends.

Pay rate up to £12.71 per hour.

The role of Kitchen Assistant

You will be required to assist in the day-to-day running of a very busy production kitchen in order to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Working on our Deli Counter
• Food preparation including sandwiches and jacket potatoes
• Assisting with deliveries and putting away stock
• Assisting with Kitchen Porter duties such as dishwashing
• Supporting chefs with food production

About You

This role involves communicating with the public and serving food, you will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience is not essential, training will be provided for the right person. An ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a close-knit team is essential as is a willingness to learn.
