Job Description

ibis Styles Birmingham NEC and Airport hotel is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help us cook tasty meals and maintain a clean and safe kitchen, supporting our Head Chef. This is a temporary, full-time position covering parental leave, offering 40 hours per week with a salary of up to £12.21 per hour plus benefits.

If you can prepare tasty and consistent dishes, this could be the role for you. We prefer candidates with some cooking experience who can be a great addition to our kitchen team. Responsibilities include supporting the kitchen team, managing stocks and supplies, minimizing costs, maximizing profits, and maintaining a hygienic environment.

The ideal candidate would have experience working in a pub, high street restaurant, or hotel, able to follow our menu and uphold high standards. However, we are willing to train reliable, keen, and hardworking individuals.

Shifts start as early as 6am, with potential midweek or weekend shifts for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is conveniently located near Birmingham International train station (2-minute walk) and has on-site parking.

Applicants must be able to work in the UK and commute to the location.
