Job summary

Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our catering teams across the North East. You will assist with food prep, cooking support, and serving meals in a busy kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of kitchen experience, a valid driving licence, good communication, and a basic understanding of food safety. DBS enhanced is advantageous for work in schools or care homes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a kitchen environment.
• Valid driving license required.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Basic food safety knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients.
• Assist in cooking and baking tasks, measuring cooking times.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment.
• Assist in serving meals to customers or staff members.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment.
