Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is looking for a General Assistant to help with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and assist with deliveries and stock organisation. You may also serve food to customers and host events when required.

The role supports a facilities management and catering service, with opportunities to assist across teams and contribute to a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen is valued but not essential.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Good organisational skills and ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment, including utensils and catering stations.
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, and organise food and storage areas.
• Serve food to customers when required and assist as host/waiter at events.
