Job description

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Role Overview:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will have experience with food preparation and catering, adhering to Health and Safety and Food Standard regulations. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining kitchen cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are immaculately clean, including washing up crockery and utensils when required.

About You:

  • Ability to manage pressure, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Acting as a link between the main kitchen and residents.
  • Assisting chefs with meal plating, food trolley preparation, and maintaining cleanliness of preparation areas.
  • Genuine interest in working in a care home environment.
  • Previous experience in a care home is desirable but not essential.
  • Organized and committed approach.
  • Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts.
